The H. Hovnanian Family Foundation is proud to extend its support to the Strong Mind NGO, an organization that has been making waves in Armenia since its inception in 2019. Committed to creating a robust pan-Armenian youth network, Strong Mind is on a mission to foster personal growth, educational advancement, and regional development.
Building a Strong Pan-Armenian Youth Network
Strong Mind NGO envisions a future where the entire Armenian nation, spanning Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora, is united through a network of empowered youth. Their approach is multi-faceted, aimed at bridging regional gaps and cultivating meaningful connections. To achieve this, they've launched a range of educational, motivational, and region-specific projects.
Empowering Youth Through Education and Exchange
Education is at the heart of Strong Mind's efforts. It has organized over 100 webinars, seminars, and courses covering topics such as JavaScript, graphic design, the English and Azerbaijani languages, CMS, and more. These programs not only impart valuable skills but also instill a sense of confidence and empowerment in young participants.
In addition to formal education, Strong Mind promotes the exchange of experiences. More than 30 visits to different villages have been organized, fostering a deep understanding of local issues among young people. These visits serve as catalysts for community activation and problem-solving, empowering youth to take charge of their surroundings.
The "Student's Home"
One of the flagship programs of Strong Mind is the "Student's Home." This initiative provides a nurturing environment for students from rural areas who have relocated to Yerevan for education. The program offers not only comfortable accommodation but also a platform for self-education and personal development. Through non-formal educational programs, discussions with professionals, and visits to organizations, students acquire valuable skills and knowledge.
The "Student's Home" has already welcomed 16 students, with the capacity to host up to 45. Concurrently, 90-100 students participate in various educational, intellectual, and entertaining programs. The overarching goals of this program include youth development through non-formal education, creating a student community, enhancing students' skills and abilities, increasing their competitiveness in the job market, and ultimately, facilitating job creation in the regions.
Moreover, the "Student's Home" program aims to encourage students to return to their home regions equipped with newfound knowledge and skills. This contributes to the balanced development of regional communities and helps build a brighter future for Armenia as a whole.
